The material and energy source types and volumes ware very diverse depends on the taype of services used in running their activities .in this reporting period .the company will only reort some of the soure of energy and materials used .However. the company is committed to use it effectively, efficiently. Responsibly and applies  the recycling proses to the materials that can be recycled

The Company’s commitment in  the social and  community development implementation will be continued to strengthen the public relations basis at various  work sites. This   responsibility  application  was   an   integral part  and could not be separated with the business processes, in order to provide added value for the stakeholders. The Company’s policy in social and community  development  responsibility were as follows:

  • Included the local  community and  other stakeholders as part of the operations,

  • Ensured that all operational activities followed prevailing social regulation and ran a healthy work practices, and

  • Actively participated in social care by   implementing community empowerment  through  three  fundamentals for a better life aspect and supporting the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals (MDG’s)

We are convinced that all work-related incidents, injuries and illnesses are preventable, so we maximize workplace safety in all of our operations, and provide health programs of the highest standard for all of our employees through on-site medical facilities for the treatment of both injuries and illnesses in line with our HSE Improvement Plan, which is an integral part of our business strategy.

Beyond our routine safety training, safety meetings, and safety and hygiene inspections and health talks, Indika Energy implements strategic initiatives, including the Global Monthly Safety Performance Report and Recognition Programs for Performance based on real time HSE performance monitoring within the group (i-SHARED), to improve the quality of our HSE measures.

In acknowledgement of these efforts, our Work-Health and Safety Management have received the Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSAS) 18001:2007 certificate
